Kids Can Experience History Live this PA Day

If you have to work, and you’re wondering what to do with the children on the upcoming April 24 (Separate School) and May 15 (Public School) P.A. Days, we have the answer. Send them to camp! The theme for this day camp is “Spring Has Sprung”, and activities will include a nature hike with plenty of outdoor activities for the young naturalist, popping corn over the open fire in the Log House, making, decorating, and flying kites, gardening, Hoop and Stick races, and learning to walk on stilts, just to mention a few! Campers will also get the opportunity to try their hand at good old-fashioned pioneer games and toys. There are tons of activities at our pioneer village to amuse your children. Space is limited so register today.

Camp is available 7 a.m. until 6 p.m with our Extend-a-camp option. Campers must be dropped off and picked up at the Pickering Museum Village, conveniently located on Hwy #7, just 3 km from the entrance to Hwy 407. What could be easier, or more fun this P.A. Day?

Register online at www.cityofpickering.com using Click to Reg online registration or call 905.420.4621 for other registration options. For more information about Pickering Museum Village tours, programs and events, visit cityofpickering.com/museum or call 905.683.8401.

It’s no old wives’ tale – Pickering Museum Village really is just 10 minutes away; located between Brock Road and Westney Road, just off of Hwy #7. Experience History LIVE in your own backyard!
